fruit platter

Fruit is a big hit after a meal, especially when you’re dining with family and guests. A plate of fruit complements a full plate. It is a delicious and beautiful portion in which a large plate is decorated with various fresh fruits arranged in a pattern. There are a few methods that can be followed to make the fruit platter perfectly fit an occasion. The serving bowl, in which the fruits are served, should be simple. Always remember that a simple and soft color highlights the fruits more. Select ripe, firm fruits with rich aroma, and wash and dry the fruits properly before making the preparation. Fruits like apples, melons, berries, grapes, plums, apricots, and kiwi go well for the best fruit plate. It would be a wise decision not to choose soft fruits like Fuji, bananas, pears or peaches as these fruits discolor quickly. All the fruits should have an individual place on the plate so that it acquires a uniform appearance. Sprinkle mint leaves and other ingredients to garnish the fruit plate.

For different fruit plates, you need to follow different instructions. If you plan to put berries in your platter, buy the berries only a day before the occasion, as the berries ripen so quickly that they can spoil the platter if kept in the refrigerator for days. Pineapple and melon should be purchased at least three days before you plan to serve the fruit platter, as they ripen to their crescendo of flavor and taste on these days. Apricots and plums should be cut in half or quarters for easier chewing, and don’t forget to remove the pits. Cut the kiwis into slices after they are well peeled. Berries can be put on the plate as a whole. If you want to put strawberries, they should be there with the green leaves to make the dish look more attractive. The apples are put in the mixtures of water and lemon juice. Keep the grapes in a group with 7-8 grapes on each stem to make it easy for guests to select the grapes on the plate. Once you prepare your fruit plate, serve it cold and fresh.
