Ultimate Weight Gainer: Pack Up The Mass Without Emptying Your Wallet

There are thousands of weight gain supplements, but which ones are worth it? I did the research for you so you don’t have to. For most people, spending inordinate amounts of money on supplements is not feasible nor do I believe it is necessary.

The Best Mass Builders for Those on a Budget

1. Ultimate Nutrition Muscle Juice 2544
Ultimate Nutrition’s protein composition is made up of a variety of different sources to promote absorption and assimilation into the muscles. The protein in Ultimate Nutrition Weight Gainer includes whey protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, calcium caseinate, and egg white albumin. This protein-packed formula has over 55g per protein. It’s also the cheapest weight gainer I’ve found on the market today at only $1.5 per 1000 calories and even more so, it actually tastes great. Unfortunately, the sugar content is in the upper range of what you should be willing to consume at 60g per serving. The amount of carbohydrates it contains is fair, with just over 150 g per serving.

2. Dymatize Super Mass Gainer
Another top weight gainer on the market, Dymatize Super Mass Gainer is more expensive at $1.8 per 1000 calories than Ultimate Nutrition, but it has significantly less sugar at just 39g per serving and its protein composition is comparable to 50g per portion. Furthermore, Dymatize also contains glutamine which will help you recover quickly from workouts. Unfortunately, the last thing I noticed is that the carb content of this mass builder is a little high at over 252g of carbs per serving.

3. Optimal Serious Mass
If you are looking for a high quality weight gainer but still don’t want to spend a lot of money, then Optimum Serious Mass is the best weight gainer for you. It has 1,250 calories per serving but very little sugar content. In fact, it had the lowest amount of sugar of any weight gainer I researched at just 20g per serving. The protein is a high-quality blend from a variety of sources including whey, casein, and egg. It already has Glutamine and Creatine to help power your workouts and speed recovery, but it’s a bit higher at $1.9 per 1000 calories.
