Venetian Resort Las Vegas

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas consists of three all-suite towers: The Venetian, The Palazzo and Venezia. Its colossal size makes it feel like an entire city within a hotel. It fields more bars and restaurants than you can count on your fingers (and toes) including eateries from renowned celebrity chefs, as well as two casino floors, a mall, an ice bar, a wax museum and a spa. It’s a popular place for both long and short stays.

Standard rooms at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas start at 650 square feet and are among the largest suites on the Strip. They’re divided into a bedroom with one or two beds, a sunken living room with soft fabric couches and multiple armchairs, a large desk and another 46-inch TV. The bathroom is also huge, and features a separate soaking tub and shower. The room is elegant, with classy (but not too flashy) décor. There’s an ample selection of toiletries, including both a hairdryer and ironing board.

Guests can upgrade to concierge-level rooms, which include access to a club lounge with complimentary breakfast, snacks and cocktails. There’s also a full spa and fitness center, plus 10 outdoor pools that are open during the summer and one indoor pool during the winter. The pool decks are spacious with plenty of chairs, and several bars serve food and drinks.

The Venetian also has a good selection of clubs and shows, which change seasonally. In addition to the main stage, the hotel has a smaller venue for more intimate acts. It’s also home to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, where visitors can marry George Clooney in the chapel, hang out with Hugh Hefner and Shaquille O’Neal, or take selfies with a wax version of their in-laws.

For those who prefer to stay in, The Venetian has a good range of in-room dining options that offer much more than the usual chicken, salmon or steak entrees. There’s even a five-course prix fixe Italian menu that starts at just $50.

Other notables include LAVO, a top-floor nightclub where celebs and regular folk dance all night. There’s also Tao, a high-energy nightclub that’s often packed to the rafters. The Venetian Resort Las Vegas stands as an iconic beacon of luxury and extravagance amidst the vibrant landscape of the Las Vegas Strip. Renowned for its opulent design, world-class amenities, and unparalleled entertainment, The Venetian offers guests an unforgettable experience immersed in Italian-inspired grandeur.

As a whole, the hotel has impressive new COVID-19 protocols and has been keeping its guest areas as safe as possible. Its massive casino floor was fitted with plastic screens between seats to maintain social distancing, and alternate seats at the slot machines were marked as out of service in order to maintain hygiene. Even though some theaters and live entertainment were suspended, there was still a good vibe at the hotel during our visit. That’s likely to continue as the situation remains fluid and many hotels around the Strip are adjusting their operations accordingly.
